Musical duo Me Not You release introspective song ahead of debut album

Me Not You have just released their debut album, Already Gone via MNY Records last week. Our personal favourite was the introspective, ‘Does Anybody Out There Care’ track which was released only a week before. The hypnotic drumbeat paired with the brooding lyrics set the tone for dark notions. While not in our usual range of genres, we felt this one was simply too good not to share.

“Everything will happen in an instant
another wave will hit before you see it
and leave nothing true
for you to hold onto
except yourself”

The dream-pop duo were featured on Sound Labyrinth with ‘I Should Know Better’, another track from the full-length album. They commented, “No matter what your gender is, we’d recommend putting them onto your playlist as we can all relate to regrettable decisions.” You can read the full feature here.

“Sometimes life feels like it’s pulling you out into a riptide, and there’s nothing you can do but just hold your breath and go with it. You come up for air only to be pulled back down again. ‘Does Anybody Out There Care?’ is about that moment when you realize it’s pointless to struggle against the current… it’s time to hold your breath and see where it takes you.”
