Please describe your sound for us.
A splash of house groove, a bit of EDM and some old school disco music.
How did it all start for you?
As kids, we were really fascinated by dance music, especially euro disco and house music. Think we were around 10-12 years old when we got our first turntables and it was love at first sight. We used them all the time and also recorded samples into a cassette player to play for friends and school parties. Also we have been big fans of Djing since we were very young. For us, Djing is an art and we love to stand behind the decks.
Which three artists would you say made you want to create your own music?
Axwell, Daft Punk and Carl Cox
What is your go-to gear/equipment when creating?
Logic Pro X, Softube plug-ins, Subpac and Waves plugins.
What are some of your key influences in your music? Whether it be the sound created by others, imagery, films or any kind of art form.
We’re influenced by lots of things. Old funk and disco records are a big inspiration. We love to listen to radio and different stations around the world to get new ideas. Also, we love to travel and we love the summer, beach life and vibrant cities where everything feels possible!
What is one sub-genre you think doesn’t get the attention it deserves?
Good question! We really like Nu-disco so maybe that one needs more attention 🙂
Any new or upcoming artists on your radar?
We really like the Rob & Jack and Albin Myers – Deep in my soul. Also Kokiri has some very cool tracks 🙂
What single night out has been the most memorable for you? As a performer? As an attendee?
We have got a few favorites but as a European person, it’s very big to have a gig in the States so we would say that our gig at Time square in NYC last year was very special. We played at a live stream event and we had a blast.
As an attendee, we would say Camelphat at Hi Ibiza this summer. They did an amazing show and they have a very passionate crowd as well.
What can we expect from you in the near future? Any upcoming projects or gigs in the pipeline that you would like to tell us about?
November 23 we’re performing at Ministry of Sound ‘The Weekender’. We’ll play on the main stage between 8-9 pm. Also, a new release coming up on another cool label this year. We’ve been big fans of that label since we started to produce music so it’s exciting.
Famous last words?
Massive thanks for the support so far! It’s been amazing to have received such good support both from fans and within the industry. We really appreciate it 🙂 Be sure to keep an eye out on our social media for the latest news. We’ve some exciting stuff we’ll reveal soon.
