The intangible nature of home can be summed up in one word: “love”. Within Klangkarussell’s latest single, we’re caught up in a world of the unexpected, understated and impulsive nature of a young couple finding their way in the world. The video for the latest single is directed by award-winning Rupert Höller who is responsible for the bizarre Leyya ‘Wannabe’ video as well as the cinematic ‘Taking On Water’ and takes us on a heart-stopping journey (sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves).
On a more serious note, the video manages to cross several borders, including racial and traditional relationship expectations while keeping the concept simple. It’s videos like this that help take steps towards normalising what was once unusual and helping people create their own space when needed. The duo also appear to be on a mission to raise awareness about climate change, posting one stunning image after another with the same tag: “#savethenature.
The pair further elaborate on ‘Home’: “Our latest single is about finding what you didn’t even know you were looking for. ‘We’ want to be out all the time, running it up, letting loose.. but we also half just want to find one precious person that we can give it all up for. This tune is all about that moment of realization.’”
