Nolan Byrd drops exciting remix of The Fur’s Autograph

Renowned New York based drummer and producer Nolan Byrd recently shared his riveting remix of The Furs, ‘Autograph’ on the 11th of August. This new interpretation showcases Swedish pop genius The Fur’s signature style and Nolan Byrd’s cutting edge production skills, offering listeners a dancier and more upbeat version of the 2022 original.

‘Autograph’ initially captivated audiences with its all-embracing sound and profound political and social message. Nolan Byrd takes it up a notch, giving it mainstream accessibility, for both radio and the club. Featuring a plucky bass, fat kick and retro Roland 909 hats, there’s also the trademark ‘Autograph’ vocal sample which is deeply infectious and catchy. Amid housey piano chords, there’s a plethora of dreamy arpeggios and melodies to give the track some atmosphere and depth.

Athemic, the core of ‘Autograph’s appeal lies in its gentle yet impactful political commentary. Despite the remix featuring less vocals than the original, it’s still a track that questions the status quo. Against the backdrop of a shifting global political landscape, it’s more meaningful than ever before.
