Helsinki, Finland – Celebrating a decade of success and over a billion streams, Finnish electronic music producer Axel Thesleff announces the release of the Bad Karma Remix Album.
Axel Thesleff is known for pioneering the World Bass genre, and ‘Bad Karma’ has been a pivotal track in his career. Released in 2014, the song quickly gained traction, being featured on Trap Nation and accumulating 515 million streams on the channel, more than notable tracks like Marshmello’s ‘Keep it Mello’. The song’s official music video, which reflects the bitter message of its Punjabi lyrics – “Don’t be proud of your money, as it will never satisfy you”– has garnered nearly 130 million views on Axel’s YouTube channel and another 113 million streams on Spotify, with total streams exceeding one billion across all platforms.
To mark the 10-year anniversary of this iconic track, Axel has curated a diverse lineup of artists from three continents for the remix album. The album will feature remixes by: “MEMBA (US), ZwiReK (PL), Daktyl (US), SickFlip (IN), Gurbax (IN), Tech Panda & Kenzani (IN), Eyezic (US), ATYYA (CA) and Chet Porter (US).
This milestone album will kick off with Axel’s VIP remake of his hit track ‘Bad Karma’ on August 16th. VIP is a special celebratory version of the legendary dance hit ’Bad Karma’ by Axel Thesleff. This year, 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of this track that has amassed a billion streams across platforms during its lifespan. This VIP version puts a new and energetic spin on this classic track and reflects on the emotions of how this track has changed Axel’s life and all the memories that have been created because of it during the 10 years of its existence.
