French Duo Krono Bring Electronic Muscle to Jairic’s Standout Rap Hit

Krono’s new remix of Jairic’s ‘Don’t Let Me Put A Track On You’ is out today on Rich Air Music. The track blends underground rap energy with polished dancefloor sounds. Jairic, who grew up in Detroit and now lives in Cannes, has gained attention for sharp lyrics inspired by Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Detroit’s underground scene, funk, 60s rock, and dramatic film scores. He has played at venues like Château Les Alouettes, Villa Balbiano on Lake Como, and the Paris premiere of the short film Azur. His music is close to reaching two million streams.

The original track comes from Jairic’s 2025 EP n=40. It features bold lyrics and shifting moods, starting with a tense, gritty intro, moving into a smoother section with Julie Weber, then returning to strong hip-hop energy. The EP has already received early support from Wonderland Magazine, NOTION, CLASH Magazine, EARMILK, and NPR Music.

Krono, made up of brothers Mickaël and David Couderc, bring their signature mix of deep house, melodic chords, and electronic pop. They are best known for their remix of Aaron Smith’s ‘Dancin’, which has over a billion streams. The duo have released music on Armada Music and Ultra Music, received support from Tiësto and Pete Tong, and worked with artists like Lost Frequencies, Klingande, and VanJess. Outlets such as YourEDM, Vibe, and Dancing Astronaut have followed their success.

Krono’s remix adds driving bass, sharp percussion, and layered synths, turning Julie Weber’s vocal into a catchy hook. Jairic’s verses stay front and center, his flow contrasting with the smooth electronic sound to keep the energy up. This version is perfect for fans of both hip-hop acts like Eminem, Kid Cudi, and Run The Jewels, and late-night house playlists.

Krono shared: “TheKrono said: “The remix of “Don’t Let Me Put a Track on You” takes a sharp pop-electronic direction, rooted in a contemporary aesthetic driven by deep bass and synths drawing from French Touch foundations, with influences blending Ed Banger and Daft Punk. Melodic synths bring an accessible, modern feel, while Jairic’s energetic rap energizes the track without breaking its pop balance.”
