Orsay and Maxi Meraki drop emotional Afro House single ‘Amado’
French producer and DJ Orsay teams up with electronic artist Maxi Meraki on his latest Afro-House inspired track, ‘Amado’. Released on 10 January via Adriatique’s label Siamese, the single radiates love, sentimentality, and warmth. A deeply personal piece, ‘Amado’ serves as a tribute to Orsay’s late father, immersing listeners in a whirlwind of emotions including passion, comfort, excitement, and euphoria. Originally recognised as a piano prodigy, Orsay has since shifted his focus to electronic music, a journey that has taken him across Europe, with performances in Paris, London, Madrid, and Ibiza.
Even before its official release, ‘Amado’ gained traction in sets by RÜFÜS DU SOL, WhoMadeWho, Adriatique, and Carlita, among others. The collaboration with Maxi Meraki, a force in Melodic House, adds depth and dimension to the track, seamlessly blending both artists’ styles. Driven by a pulsing beat, silken vocals, and an irresistible groove, ‘Amado’ masterfully balances dancefloor energy with emotional depth.
The title, which translates to ‘Loved Ones’ in English, holds deep significance for Orsay, who shares: “This track is deeply personal, I created it just months after my father passed. The original vocal was taken from a voice message he left me, which became the foundation for the melodies and emotions woven throughout the song.”
