Singer/songwriter Honeyfreckle releases new song ‘love me not’

The new Swedish pop sensation Honeyfreckle releases her intoxicating debut single “love me not” on the 15th of November. To quote some of the very objective people that have heard it so far: “It’s impossible to get it out of your head”.

The singer and songwriter Honeyfreckle writes music that makes you want to put glitter on your cheeks and dance like nobody’s watching. Heartfelt lyrics and electronic elements are melted together to create a personal expression. The collaboration with the producer Hampus gives the music a colorful vibe.

I started to think about the “he loves me, he loves me not” imagery. There is something interesting about imagining love being a rigged game. It can lure you into false security, when in reality, it is really easy to mess with the outcome. The song “love me not” is about losing someone you thought loved you, but was actually never yours to begin with, says the songwriter.

The debut is paired with captivating visuals, created in collaboration with talented photographer/videographer Simon Roth Kalla and creative assistant/stylist Rebecka Wallentin.
